Senate Committee clears Jimoh Ibrahim on N120bn Aviation Intervention Fund

Former Chairman of defunct Air Nigeria, Jimoh Ibrahim

Based on allegations of mismanagement of Aviation Intervention Fund , the former Chairman of defunct Air Nigeria, Jimoh Ibrahim walked out of a Senate panel a happy man Wednesday, when it was discovered that he was wrongly accused.

This came even as arguments ensued between Mr Ibrahim, who denied collecting N35.5bn from the Bank of Industry for his defunct airline and the UBA, which insisted that the millionaire businessman actually wrote through it to the Bank of Industrial, BOI, for the money.

The Senate Committee on Aviation, which heard Mr Ibrahim’s side of the allegation, during a public hearing on the money, thereafter gave him a clean bill of health when it discovered that the business mogul did not receive the money nor it was deposited in his personal account or any of his companies’ accounts.
