Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, the PDP governorship candidate in the September 10, gubernatorial election, has vowed to carry the whole state as his constituency rather than act allegedly like Comrade Adams Oshiomhole in focusing on his village.

Addressing traditional rulers from Edo South under the aegis of Enijie of Benin Kingdom at Egbaen near Benin City, Ize-Iyamu lamented that traditional rulers as critical stakeholders in the state have unfortunately been sidelined by the outgoing governor of the state.

Lamenting the gross neglect of some major parts of Edo South by the APC government, Ize-Iyamu observed that Edo State received well over N1.4trillion as statutory allocations from the Federation account besides billions from the IGR.

He mentioned the deliberate decision of the governor to use state funds to build the newly established Edo University in his hometown, Iyamoh, along with a teaching hospital and school of nursing while at the same time neglecting the Ambrose Alli University, the State College of Education, Ekiadolor, for which he said the governor appointed a Vice-Chancellor and a governing council without any financial allocation.

Responding, HRH Edowonyi Ogiegbaen, the Enojie of Egbaen, in Ovia Northeast local government area of Edo state prayed for the grace of God to be upon Ize-Iyamu not only to win in September 10, 2016, governorship elections but to be forthright in delivering on his campaign promises.
